SURROUND YOURSELF IN LOVE...

Its so strange for me to do a post like this but i thought it was about time i wrote a little bit about my surroundings and who i am!

The pictures you see here are of my very small, but also veeerrry cosy bedroom in my house in Belfast. As i live away from my family, i feel so strongly about surrounding myself with positive thoughts and happy reminders that you do have people that love you!

Apologies, for the cringy-ness of that last sentence haha! But for anyone thats away from what they class as 'home', it is important. I absolutely love all things heart shaped for the home. I just think it adds a really girly touch to anything!

What you also see here is my cushion saying the definition of 'hug'. Now my mum is very similar to me and loves all these little cute things for the home and said a few months back that she really wanted to 'send me a hug' because i was having a bad day. And i few days later i got this cushion delivered through the post! Sooo adorable i cried for a good half hour at the sheer sight of it! Thanks again mum.

As a blogger, i feel that having an apple mac is almost an essential. Yes you can blog just as easily on any other laptop but i just love the sleekness of them and it goes with my room so well! (yes, i coordinate even my computer)

This really hasn't been the easiest year. But simple things like surrounding myself with happy thoughts and good friends has made everything so much easier and life is looking up in so many ways. Anytime you feel down, just know theres always someone that cares and loves you for who you are and not what you think you should be.

Lastly, ill explain the bunny slippers. I mean £3 outta primark how could i not!! They are the comfiest cutest things I've ever seen! And again, go so well in my bedroom!!

Thanks for reading!

IMPRACTICALITY...

So i had a bit of fun with this post. My AMAZING best friend Danny has been a gem taking the photos for me and he took me up to the Belfast castle gardens and it was just stunning.

The outfit went really well with the settings i thought!! Been just loving all the pelmet skirts that have been coming onto the high street lately. I personally love the detailing on the side of this Topshop number, i think it really adds an interesting touch to it!!

Jersey tops like this one are actual life savers!! Only £12 and they can be worn with jeans,skirts..anything! They look so lovely on. I love the way a black lacy bra underneath a thin white top like this one, can add depth to the outfit and it looks quite cool. (or at least i hope it does!)

I have posted about this fix fur jacket before but i can't explain how much i love it. It goes with everything and i wear it too often haha! Honestly though, go buy a faux fur jacket/coat if you haven't already. They are timeless and so classy.

THE PEPLUM...

Although simple, blue high waisted skinny jeans paired with a pointed stiletto and hoops are the perfect combination for a day/night look!!

Topshop 'Joni' jeans are my favourite style of jeans because they are so flattering on! I find myself wearing them out for drinks but i also find that i can chill out in them at home as well  they are so comfortable! Get yourself a pair if you haven't already they are the jeans i swear by.

This outfit I love for its simplicity, I aren't an eccentric person when it comes to fashion and never have been! I just really love the little detail of outfits such as gold hoops or a watch.

Now. Lets talk about the craze that is a peplum!! This Topshop jacket is one of my favourite buys this A/W. The shape it can give you is insane!! No matter what your size, a peplum shaped top, jacket, dress.. peplum anything can give you such a lovely shape that nips you in at the waist! Go buy one now!!

(i apologise for the lighting issues with these pics. My courtyard doesn't let loads of light in!)

LEOPARD LOVE...

This outfit totally defines my style. I just love combining colours that flow well together in an outfit.

The gorgeous leopard beauty is from Topshop, Alex Chung was pictured wearing it for the Topshop Unique A/W14 fashion show and as soon as i saw that, i had to have it!!

Now for the gilet. I wouldn't be a gilet person normally. I find a lot of them to be very boxy for my shape but this one is a lot longer and just matches perfectly with everything i own!! I would highly recommend buying one if you don't already, they can enhance any outfit and keep you warm too without wearing an annoyingly bulky coat.

Although we all look forward to the gorgeous dresses and kimonos of spring/summer. I don't want winter to end!! The colours are just lovely and Im finding everything in my wardrobe is either fur, leopard or burgundy haha!

RAINY DAYS...

First real outfit post!! Theres a first for everything so here goes!
I adore the simplicity of this outfit. And white jeans in winter can work!! (or at least i think so!!)
Even though it was like minus 1 outside today here in Belfast it was worth it! Adding fur can dress up any outfit whether it be a coat, gilet or a stole! This beauty i got in the Topshop sale for £35 down from £75! (couldn't say no obviously)

And as for the shoes...well they are my new obsession! just so chic, classy and timeless. (p.s don't wear them when its freezing outside haha!)

Starting to feel way more positive today! Life is lovely when you have friends, family and something to really focus on! Which is why I've started to blog again! So I'm sending a big thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this.

Reflection...

I guess I'm using today as time to reflect upon everything thats made me the person that i am today. Strong, confident and ready to take on the world!! (cringe!)

Fashion means everything to me...literally everything. You can use fashion to express who you are. Who you might want to be. Who you CAN be. I have worked for Topshop for 3 years now and in that time I've learnt that no matter what anyone tells you, you can get back up on your feet by wearing a fabulous outfit and strutting down the street. Topshop has been a huge influence not only for the whole world, but especially for me.
Theres nothing wrong with hiding your emotions with what you wear! If you're feeling down...wear the most extravagant outfit you can and everyone will be so amazed you won't even remember why you were feeling down in the first place! Dressing is a way of life!! *quote Yves Saint Laurent*

Okay I'm rambling...
Theres a 'Fashion Role Model' incentive in my Topshop store, which gives us more reason to dress up for work! When you work full time you do feel very repetitive in what you wear..so I love to change it up as best i can! I remember when i wanted to work in an office just to wear cigarette trousers with a floaty blouse and cute pointed stilettos...should i have said that? Here are some pictures of my past year at Topshop here in Belfast.

Moral of the story.
Remember. Use fashion as much as you can to show your feelings, your dreams and who you are!! It really helps i promise!

TOPSHOP JANUARY WISHLIST...

Wow! its been a while...
Ive decided to make a start at blogging again. Been feeling very nostalgic lately and felt like I needed to put my passion for fashion (no pun intended!)into words and pictures.

As a staff member at Topshop, I am always on the look out for what to buy next and while browsing the website today I found some gorgeous pieces that I think are perfect for this time of year!

Heeled boots are a must for A/W14 going into S/S15! They are a favourite of mine and dress up any outfit. Same goes for the shiny boots, 'MARGOT' at Topshop are a perfect black boot to make you not feel in any way frumpy when wearing flatter shoes.

Ripped jeans...they are the biggest craze over the winter for 2014 which is surprising because here in Belfast its 2 degrees!! But as all fashionistas know, we don't dress practically anyway. I could kick myself for not owning a pair of these ripped beauties, something that I will definitely invest in this month. They look amazing dressed up with strappy heels, but equally good with a pair of patent loafers.

Fur gilets ahh music to my ears! or my wardrobe..(does that even make sense?)I own this exact one thats pictured in cream and cannot get enough, it goes with everything and I believe when you wear something over and over again, its essential to buy it in every colour it comes in! (obviously).

Few of the other pieces are things I've had my eye on for a long time and hopefully my purse won't disagree with me for that!

Thankyou to anyone who has read!
